Splatter

This week I did not have an epiphany, but I did find my learning communities sustainable concept very creative and practical. Our group came up with an idea called Splatter, which would be an old building or warehouse in the community that would be turned into an art gallery for one week during each month. During this week different local artists would come and create a piece of art from paint that was not being used in the community. This concept would not only be a more sustainable way of disposing of paint, but would also give consumers a more sustainable art piece for their home.

I think this idea would be very easy to begin. I think that the community would be very willing to attend and to give their unused paint away to an organization with a good cause. I also believe that this idea would start the conversation of sustainability in many consumer’s homes. This week I plan on trying to come up with more ideas such as splatter for my final sustainable project.
