Lessening our Creativity

This week I found it really inspirational to listen to Sir Ken talk about how children lose creativity as they grow up in age and are challenged everyday in school.  He believes that teachers make us think that we are wrong and that messes with our minds to think that we can’t be creative.  Although this is not an epiphany it made me understand why we act so different and are not as outgoing and personable as we were as kids.

As children I just remember never thinking twice about the things I said or did, and as I have grown up I find myself holding back on words.  This can help me understand that I don’t need to hold back anymore because I am not who I am unless I’m saying and doing what is on my mind.

I found his speech to be very intriguing and felt that his words were well spoken.
