In Tim Brown reading the part that caught my attention the most was the part that explained the rise of design thinking related to cultural change and the people who think best want the challenge of applying their skills to problems that matters. I like that it said they don’t want to take the easy route to something so critical. I feel like design activism is way to inform people to bring about change and active design is actually bringing the change into the design. A problem that needs immediate attention is gun control. I feel like we need to bring about more awareness and take action. In our learning community we came up with a sustainable Halloween party where people made a costume out of there closet so they won’t waste resources on buying a costume we also all things pumpkin an reusable eating utensils. Maria Thiry’s AATCC talk brought a lot of awareness to the classroom which I believe will lead to people taking action and becoming more sustainable.
